Blue and Golden Oyster Mushrooms
Follow the instructions below for best results

Sterilize outside of bag with rubbing alcohol

Sterilize a razor blade with rubbing alcohol

Using the razor blade cut an X in the side of the bag at the pre-marked location.

Using a squirt bottle, mist the X 2 times per day
-
If there is no condensation inside the top portion of the bag, then mist the X more often
-
Keep the bag in an area that gets a lot of light but NO direct sunlight. Kitchen counter, table, shelf, covered porch or North facing windowsill are all good locations. Do not set on floor.

Mushrooms will start to pin within 7-14 days
-
You will be able to harvest 5-7 days after the mushrooms have started to pin

Harvesting: You can harvest when the outside edges of the mushrooms start turning upwards. Using a sterilized razor cut mushrooms off as close to the bag as possible without damaging block or bag

Most customers get (2) flushes per Golden Oyster block and (3-4) flushers per Blue Oyster block.

If the Block ever gets a green mold (very similar to moldy bread) on the block. Remove the block from the bag and add to your compost or break up and sprinkle it in a bed of stray outside to try to propagate outside!

Follow the instructions below for best results

Sterilize outside of bag with rubbing alcohol

Leaving the patch still in place on the bag: SLOWLY push excess air out through the patch. Fold the excess top portion of the bag over the block to form a loaf shaped block

Sterilize a razor blade or broad head arrow with rubbing alcohol

Using the razor blade cut (6) X’s in the side of the bag (half-inch in length) at the pre-marked location. Or use the Broad head arrow and stab the bag 6 times at the pre-marked locations.

Using a squirt bottle, mist the X 2 times per day

If there is no condensation inside the bag, then mist the X more often

Mushrooms will start to pin within 14-21 days

You will be able to harvest 7-14 days after the mushrooms have started to pin

Harvesting: You can harvest when the mushrooms start to form small hairs on them. They will be roughly the size of a softball.

Most customers get (2-3) flushes per block.

If the Block ever gets a green mold (very similar to moldy bread) on the block. Remove the block from the bag and add it to your compost.

Reishi Mushrooms
Follow the instructions below for best results

Place unopened bag in an area that gets a lot of light but NO direct sunlight.

Mushrooms will take about a month or so to grow
​

Harvesting: This is a one-time harvest. When the mushrooms have started to push on the top portion, inside of the bag. Open bag and harvest.

Remove the block from the bag and add it to your compost.
